Slim Aarons was the photographer who defined the jet set lifestyle with his fascinating portfolio of some of the world’s most fashionable destinations including the French Riviera and Capri. Against these glamorous backdrops, his subjects included the rich, famous and Royal, Among them were Grace Kelly, Marilyn Monroe and Humphrey Bogart. In fact, the former US military photographer encapsulated the golden years of Hollywood.
His fame started in the late 1950s but Slim Aarons never used a stylist or a makeup artist. He made his career out of what he called “photographing attractive people doing attractive things in attractive places.”
